To Apply Security to Individual Attributes on a Template

You can apply security to individual attributes on a template that will then be inherited by each object created from the template.

  1. Select the applicable template and expand the Attributes topic.
  2. Select the Security command.
  3. Expand the attribute group and select the relevant attribute.
  4. Associate the person/role to the security topic and select from View, Modify and/or Delete permissions. You can search for persons and roles in the main AssetWise Director window, and drag search results into the attribute security dialog.
  5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for each attribute that requires security.
  6. Close the attribute security window when complete.
